Anthony Woodhouse started trading as a business in July 2012 when I chose to take the plunge and turn a passion into a business. In March 2015 advanced bookings gave me the confidence to take the plunge once more and became a full time photographer.
My days as a photographer began as a kid, I used to own a Minolta 110 camera and seemed to go through the films so quickly, this didn’t bother me too much because I thought I was getting a great deal, every time I sent my prints in I got a free film sent back with my pictures!
My 1st “real” camera was a Russian camera called a Zenit, this was well used but unfortunately many of the films for this were never processed and were put in a big jar never to see the light of day again, the reason, I found another passion on which to spend my money “dating”! I met my wife in 1991 and she was daft enough to marry me four years later, we now have three wonderful children, two sons and a daughter and are fortunate enough to live in stunning Llandudno, North Wales.
My photography training
Most of my knowledge comes from years of getting it wrong and learning from those mistakes, I did however study an “Advanced Diploma in Photography” from the Institute of Photography (IOP) and after passing with flying colours I’m now a member.
As photographers and business owners we never stop learning, so in the summer of 2016 I joined a program to take my skills and business to a higher level by investing in a year long development program from the world’s largest photography training provider, The Photographer Academy. I became a member of The Xperiance group (a group of independent photographers from locations throughout the UK). This program of training and development training is focused on creativity excellence and business development.
As 360° Photography started to become easier to publish in 2017 I worked towards and achieved becoming a Google Street View Trusted photographer.
In 2019 I undertook the training needed to be able to offer drone photography after passing the theoretical and flight tests in March of 2019 I obtained my permission for commercial operation from the UK CAA
